Audio Freezer — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 June 2026

Audio Freezer is a macOS application developed by Zero Story Points GmbH (Baarerstrasse 43, 6300 Zug, Switzerland). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.

The short version

Audio Freezer collects no data, transmits no data, and contains no analytics or tracking. It has no servers and makes no network connections. Everything it stores stays on your Mac.

What the app stores locally

To do its job, Audio Freezer keeps a small amount of information on your device only:

  1. A list of the audio output devices it has seen (name, stable identifier, supported sample rates) and your per-device settings (target rate, remembered volume, whether the device is managed).
  2. A local preference, such as whether the menu-bar icon animates.
  3. A local log of sample-rate changes, for troubleshooting, kept inside the app's sandbox container.

This information never leaves your Mac. We cannot see it.

What we do not do

  1. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information.
  2. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.
  3. We do not share data with third parties (there is no data to share).
  4. We do not capture, record, or transmit any audio.

In-app purchases

Audio Freezer offers a free trial and a one-time unlock through Apple's In-App Purchase. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children

Audio Freezer is a utility suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
